I remember growing up about one block from Maple Hill Cemetery which is now Beltrami Park in Northeast Minneapolis. As a kid, I used to find old gravestones. There was one under some bushes in the south east corner of the park. My aunt told me that my great-grandmother was buried there in January, 1892 after childbirth. I have another great uncle buried there who died during a diphtheria epidemic in the late 1880's.
