Grand Marais Cook

Built in 1922 of steel, this structure replaced a wooden structure built of surplus and salvaged materials installed in 1886. The lighthouse is located on the East Pier of the harbor and the grounds are accessible to visitors. Because of the narrow opening, a smaller secondary light was installed on the West Pier in 1902.
