History
This structure is a red brick-veneered building built in the Queen Anne Style with limestone foundations, and a bellcast gambrel roof with gabled dormers. This buildings consists of ten separate row houses that share side walls. Each row house is now divided into three separate apartments (basement, first floor, and second floor). The facade of each row house is distinct, with a different combination of bay windows, entrance locations, and architectural details.
This exterior of this structure is currently the only part of the site to have a historical designation from the City of Minneapolis; the other structures on the site (the cottages and 1018 University) were not included in the recommendation.
