First Occupants of the House from the Minneapolis City Directory:

1917 - 1941 Arthur C. and Leda O. Thompson. Arthur was bookkeeper/office manager for August Cederstrand Co., a building contractor. According to the 1920 Census, Arthur and Leda lived with their newborn daugther Murlen E. In the 1930 census, 4 people lived in the house: Arthur (aged 45), Leda (aged 43) and their two daughters, Merlin (aged 11) and Lorraine (aged 9).

1941-1976 Carl Herman and Edna Grace (Benson) Ekstrom. Carl was an assembler and later an inspector at the Toro Factory. They had two children: Donald Carl, born August 2, 1939 and Mary Elizabeth, born April 21, 1947.

1978-1992 James Edward and Patricia Ann (Wolf) Myefski. They were married in 1991. James was an electrical technician at Honeywell.

1992-2001 Jeffrey Lawrence and Melody Lavonne (Erickson) Dyrud. Jeffrey was a mechanic for Northwest Airlines. They had five sons, Michael Lawrence (born 1992), Daniel James (born 1994), Levi Douglas (born 1996), Jon David (born 1998) and Caleb Paul (born 2001). They moved to Thief River Falls where Jeff was an aviation maintenance instructor at Northland Community and Technical College.

Now known as Elmhaven for it's large American Elm tree in the backyard of the house. The tree is one of the oldest American Elm trees in Minneapolis.
