The former Northwestern National Bank Building replaced many small commercial structures and the New York Life Insurance Building. This building is connected by skyway to Town Square, Ecolab Center, the US Bank Center, and First Federal Savings & Loan Building & Pavilion. The skyway level of Alliance Bank Center extends west across Cedar Street. The building can be accessed from Wabasha Street and Ecolab Plaza through an entrance between the buildings of Ecolab Center.
