Originally the New London School built in the Village of Lakeside, now Duluth, Minnesota in 1889 as a four room school. The New London School operated as a school from 1889 to 1894. The original location was on the northeast corner of Regent Street and 46th Avenue East. The building was moved to 5217 London Road in 1900 and reconstructed as a single family house for Bradford C. Church, President of the Imperial Mill in Duluth, Minnesota.

The garage was built in 1914 and designed by architect Peter Olson of Duluth.
