Historical Background: "This house was built in 1905 for an estimated cost of $1,000. The original owner and occupant of the house was Martin W. Johnson, a laborer for Brooks Brothers Sash, Doors & Moldings Company located at 1923 University Avenue.

Statement of significance: "A modest early 20th century rendition of the Colonial Revival style."
