History

On the morning of March 13, 1934, FBI agents and police knocked on the door of Lincoln Court apartment 303 on a landlady's hunch - inadvertently stumbling into a gun battle with John Dillinger and Homer Van Meter. Dillinger's third-floor apartment, where he lived with girlfriend Evelyn Frechette, overlooked Lexington Pkwy.[1]
