John Miner moved onto Goodrich Avenue during the Civil War. He built this house (originally 67 Goodrich Avenue) about 1877, and his descendents lived there for close to a century before selling to the present owners whose names (Love, Yust) are over the front door. Miner worked as a candymaker, policeman, city inspector, traveling salesman, and a host of other occupations.
