The Alexander Ramsey House, one of the best preserved Victorian-era homes in the United States, features carved walnut woodwork, marble fireplaces, crystal chandeliers and many original furnishings. It was built between 1868 and 1872 for Minnesota's first territorial governor, Alexander Ramsey. It is a historic site of the Minnesota Historical Society.
