Notes: There is a small porch with a hipped roof and square columns over the side entrance. The front porch runs the full length of the main facade and has a hipped roof. The windows have segmental arches and radiating voussoirs with large sills. The west side has a square bay with a hipped roof and incised carving. There is a small gable that caps the hipped roof at its peak.

The original owner of this house, which was built for $2,450, is listed on the building permit as Robert K. Evans, a contractor. An Italianate house stripped of some of its ornamentation that is one of a cluster of late nineteenth century homes near Hamline University.
